Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home by using a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence profits does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of earnings.

*** 2025 nsfas application Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All nsfas login students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
